09.03.26 6th Grade Movie Night - Information & Permission Form

Dear 6th Grade Greene Parent/Guardian:

Greene Student Leadership will be hosting a 6th Grade Movie Night on Thursday, September 3rd from 2:45pm-4:45pm in the Multi-Purpose Room (MPR). Only current 6th Grade Greene Middle School students are allowed to attend the 6th Grade Movie Night. The movie night will start at 2:45pm and end at 4:45pm. Students will not be allowed to enter the movie after 3:15pm and will not be allowed to leave before 4:45pm, unless a parent or guardian has made previous arrangements with an administrator, noted in the permission form.  All students must be picked up or leave campus by 5:00pm. Students will be viewing a PG rated movie.  Students will be voting on a movie soon.   By approving this permission slip, parents/guardians will also be granting permission for their child to view a PG rated movie.  Students may bring their own pillow or blanket to cozy up with during the movie.

Snacks:
Pizza will be served during the event. No drinks will be provided.  We advise all students to bring their water bottles.  Students can also bring their own snacks to enjoy during the movie.  If students plan to share snacks, please be aware that we do have students who are sensitive to gluten, nuts and other food allergens.  Please remind your child to be aware of friends who have these food sensitivities before sharing snacks.
 

Event Requirements:

To be eligible to participate in Movie Night:

• Students MUST attend school the day of the event, in order to participate in the after school event.

• Students MUST present their student ID card to be scanned to enter the event.

• Appropriate attire is required at all school activities.

• Students must stay for the full duration of the school event unless early pick up has been arranged with an administrator or noted in the permission form.

• Students MUST have a permission slip completed and submitted through ParentSquare by a parent or guardian to enter the event 

 

Event Behavior Expectations:

All school behavior expectations are in effect during school-sponsored events.  Specifically for this event:

• No running

• No carrying or lifting others (no piggy back rides)

• No tampering with equipment 

• Must follow directions of adults supervising the event

• NO BACKPACKS in the event.  All backpacks need to be left in lockers.  Hallways will be opened to access lockers after the event.

• Practice proper cell phone etiquette

  • If you need to use your device, ask an adult for permission to step outside the event

  • You must have permission from the person before photographing or recording them at the event

 

If any of these expectations is violated, the student may be pulled out of the dance and sent home, and/or asked not to attend upcoming events.
 

Event Entrance:
Students can line-up for entrance into the event beginning at 2:30pm, in front of the MPR.  Students MUST have their physical student ID cards to be scanned for entrance. Thanks to your contributions to our Greene PTA, there is no cost to enter the event. Please complete AND submit this permission form by 11:59pm on Wednesday, September 2nd to grant your child permission to attend the 6th Grade Movie Night on Thursday, September 3rd from 2:45-4:45pm at Greene Middle School. Each child MUST have a completed and submitted permission form to enter the event. NO Exceptions. You will receive a confirmation through ParentSquare once this form has been received.
 

NOTE: If your child is unsure about attending this event.  It is best to submit a permission form.  Late permission forms are not accepted.
