02.06.26 Greene February Dance for grades 6, 7, & 8 - Information & Permission Form

Dear Greene Parent/Guardian:

Greene Student Leadership will be hosting our first all-grades dance on Friday, February 6th from 6:00pm-8:00pm in our school gym. Only current 6th, 7th, & 8th Grade Greene Middle School students are allowed to attend the All-Grades February Dance. The dance will start at 6:00pm and end at 8:00pm. Students will not be allowed to enter the dance after 6:30pm and will not be allowed to leave before 8:00pm, unless a parent or guardian has made previous arrangements noted on their permission slip. All students must be picked-up/leave campus by 8:15pm.

Dance Requirements:

To be eligible to participate in the school dance:

• Students MUST attend school the day of the event, in order to participate in the evening event.

• Students MUST NOT have more than 10 tardies for the third quarter (1/12-2/6)

• Students MUST present their student ID card to be scanned to enter the dance.

• Appropriate attire is required at all school activities.

• Students MUST have a permission slip completed and submitted through ParentSquare by a parent or guardian to enter the dance 

Dance Behavior Expectations:

All school behavior expectations are in effect during school-sponsored events.  Specifically for the dance:

• No running

• No carrying or lifting others (no piggy back rides)

• No tampering with decorations or equipment 

• No food or water in the gym and on the dance floor

• Must follow directions of adults supervising the dance

• Practice proper cell phone etiquette:

  • Must have permission to photograph or record any person at the dance

If any of these expectations is violated, you may be pulled out of the dance and sent home, and/or asked not to attend upcoming events.

Dance Entrance:

Students can line-up for entrance into the dance beginning at 5:45pm, in the Gym courtyard.  Students MUST have their physical student ID cards to be scanned for entrance.

Please complete AND submit this permission form by 11:59pm on Thursday, February 5th to grant your child permission to attend the all grades February Dance on Friday, February 6th from 6:00-8:00pm at Greene Middle School. Each child MUST have a completed and submitted permission form by 11:59pm on Thursday, February 5th to enter the dance, NO EXCEPTIONS.  You will receive a confirmation through ParentSquare once this form has been received.
