December 10 - Principals Update

Greetings Greene Families, During a time of year when there is A LOT going on, I greatly appreciate you taking the time to read this update.  Please read on to be aware of the following topics:

Minimum Day Schedule- Friday, December 17th We will be adhering to a minimum day bell schedule on Friday, December 17th, prior to our departure to Winter Break.   LINK: Greene Minimum Day Friday Schedule Second Semester Schedules Student schedules for semester 2 will be released in Infinite Campus on Friday, December 10th at 2:00 pm.  Students and parents can log into the student ID portal or parent ID portal after 2 pm on Friday 12/10, and select Infinite Campus.  

  • Once in the ID portal, go to Infinite Campus, 
  • go to the left-hand menu and 
  • select “Schedule”, 
  • then at the top, toggle to “S2” to see the Semester 2 schedule.

Any course change requests must be processed with your student’s grade level counselor.  Pick up a course change request form from the counseling office.  Please complete and submit it no later than Thursday, January 13th. REMINDER: 6th Grade devices will be collected next week; 7th & 8th Grade students need to check-out a school device before December 17th Please refer to last week’s very important tech update for details. LINK: 12.01.21 Tech Update FUTURES Class Selling Homemade Potpourri Jars Our Futures class, led by Mrs. Jauregui, is making homemade potpourri. All you need to do is add boiling water and sit back and enjoy the aroma. The Potpourri Jars, pictured below, are limited edition: only 30 jars are being sold for $8.00 each. Covid Testing Covid Testing continues to take place on Tuesdays at Greene in Room N-1 from 8:30am - 3:30pm.  If testing is needed during the week, the Covid Clinic is available at Cubberley Community Center on Mondays - Fridays from 10am - 6pm. (Located between the Auditorium and Theater, access from the South Entrance parking lot.)   Covid Clinic has officially moved over their programming to not require an ordered test each week. New families will need to place one initial order.  Once processed, for all future testing, family members will be able to walk up to the clinics without placing an order and get tested. Updates to the instructions will be on our website to reflect this new information soon.  For more information or to register for testing, please visit: https://www.pausd.org/return-to-campus/covid-clinic Winter Break = No School, Monday, December 20 - Tuesday, January 4. We hope that you and your family have a safe, healthy, and relaxing Winter Break.  We look forward to seeing all Greene students again on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, when school resumes.  Special Schedule - Week of January 5th Winter Break is from December 20-January 4th.  Students return for the second semester on Wednesday, January 5th. LINK: Greene Special Schedule - Week of January 5, 2022 Quarter Two/Semester One Grade Report Cards   Quarter Two/Semester One Grades will be made available on Friday, January 7, 2022.  Students and families are able to check Infinite Campus to view their Reports for our Progress Grades.  To check your child’s grades, please log in to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal and select your child’s name.  You should be able to view Progress Grade Information.  If you have any questions regarding the academic progress, please contact your child’s teacher directly.
